RECYCLING:

Yes I recycle! I use as much recycled content as I can for my packaging. My wrapping paper, plastic sleeves, most envelopes, packing paper, etc is all made from recycled materials. I also keep and reuse some packing supplies I collect (excluding shipping boxes, I only use new, crush proof boxes made from recycled material). If I am unable to use recycled, I choose FSC-certified paper products when I can. I also recycle all possible paper, plastic, and metal products used in my studio (my home has a large recycling bin and good recycling programs). I believe in sustainable living, our garbage bin is usually pretty much empty.

HOW THEY ARE PACKAGED:

Pencil drawings: I ship all of my original artwork flat. They're packaged in a plastic sleeve, temporarily attached to foam board using stretch wrap, then bubble wrapped,  and packaged in a crushproof cardboard box padded with packing paper. I have a 100% success rate for all of my shipments so far.

Oil paintings: After the painting has dried for 4 months, I varnish which requires a week to dry. I then wrap the painting in acid free glassine paper, then bubble wrap. I use an oversized crush proof cardboard box, attach 2" styrofoam blocks to all interior sides of the box - this keeps the painting secure and prevents it from touching the sides of the box. I add packing paper below and above the painting.

Prints: Smaller prints are shipped flat. They are packaged in a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing (for both matted and unmatted prints). I then ship them in a crushproof cardboard box stuffed with packing paper. Larger prints are packaged in a plastic sleeve, rolled in a rigid tube, and shipped in a box.

Cards, bookmarks and hang tags: I package them in  plastic sleeve, then ship them in an appropriately sized stayflat envelope. (For bigger orders that include a print, etc, I ship the cards/bookmarks/hang tags and the other larger items in an appropriately sized box.)

PROCESSING TIME:

Custom original artwork is shipped 2-5 days after final payment is processed,

excluding oil paintings due to varnish.

Shop orders are shipped within 2-5 business days.

SHIPPING CARRIER:

I ship using Canada Post and UPS.

 

TRACKING:

All my original artwork is tracked - a tracking number will be provided via email once the package has shipped! Prints and larger shop orders are shipped with tracking. Smaller card and bookmark orders are shipped without tracking.

 

CUSTOMS:

Customs charges may apply to international orders. If for any reason you are unable or refuse to pay customs, you, the customer, are responsible for any shipping and return charges. A refund, minus the cost of shipping, will only be sent if all items are returned undamaged.

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES:

Shipping charges are included in the commissions price lists within Canada and continental USA. For international orders and commissions, shipping will be calculated based on size and customer location. Please contact me for shipping estimates.
